Natural Cure For Heartburn Or Urban Myth
Many people claim to have found a natural heartburn remedy
but there are just as many convinced that a supposed natural cure for
heartburn is just an urban myth. Nevertheless, it is
possibly true that in a few instances some of the lotions
and potions act as a placebo and indirectly contribute to a
natural heartburn relief.
A fair number of the natural cures for heartburn and indigestionin
appear to be harmless flights of fancy but, nevertheless, it
would be best to have a chat with your doctor or a medical
practitioner before embarking on some of the more out of the
ordinary cures for heartburn remedies. This is especially true in the case of
expectant mothers who often suffer from heartburn.
Whenever a natural heartburn relief is discussed, ginger is
spoken of as a panacea. It’s true that
ginger has long been thought to settle queasy tummies and, in
fact, some boat hire companies specialising in inshore trips give
tablets of ginger for this very reason. This might possibly work in some
cases and there is evidence to support the use of ginger tablets
in these situations. Some different ginger-based products suggested by
their many devotees include ginger tea, crystallized stem ginger,
ginger-flavoured boiled sweets and ginger biscuits even though
the actual ginger content of a ginger biscuit is around 1%.
Another of the usual suspects thought by a good number of folk to
be most helpful in treating heartburn and indigestion is honey.
Although there are no recent studies suggesting honey as a
dependable cure for indigestion and heartburn, there's some
published evidence that Active Manuka honey is effective in
treating children who have gastroenteritis. Without a doubt
that honey of the Active Manuka variety is invested with a unique antibacterial property
which suggests it should be considered for internal and external
use.
Sometimes herbal tea is recommended as a natural heartburn relief
but which one? Popular teas of the herb variety are

tea. It is suggested that these teas have a soporific effect and
are best taken in the evening.
Liquorice or more precisely DGL - De-Glycyrrhizinated Liquorice -

if chewed thoroughly well and nicely digested about 15 - 20 minutes before a main
meal.
The juice from the Aloe Vera plant became all the vogue
a few years ago and almost became a catch-all cure for
everything. Nonetheless there is are a few facts to support the
claim that a small glass before a meal will assist in soothing an
out-of-sorts stomach. if you're game to take the plunge make certain your purchase
is for internal use as there are various Aloe Vera products
suitable for exterior use only.
It’s inevitable that in any discussion about a natural cure for
heartburn there will be at least one exotic if not bizarre
contribution but there are actually two which will take some pluck
and ingenuity to try. One involves our old friend ginger, but in
this instance out of Africa, but it must be mixed with something
not often in every pantry. If you use sap from a mango tree
with crushed ginger you'll finish with a concoction known in the
Congo as tangawisi juice - said to cure most stomach ailments.
The other uncommon suggestion, this time available in most
grocery storecupboard, will definitely have to summon up some courage to try
and comes from France. It is said that it was favoured by the
Spanish Conquistadors Cortes and Pizarro in their 15C and 16C
century exploratory journeys to the Americas. Fact or fiction, who knows?
If you’re feeling brave and want to give it a go just grab a level teaspoon of yellow
mustard and, hey presto, within five minutes all your heartburn
will disappear; or so the story goes!
Certainly, It's undeniable that most, if not all, of these remedies will
